Racing sponsorships constitute a key component to Mayhew Tools marketing strategy, helping them get their brand tools into the hands of automotive professionals immersed in the racing industry. Beyond the company’s sponsorship of Coby and new this year for Mayhew was the sponsorship of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s Pole Award. The award recognizes the winning driver with a one-thousand-dollar check while the crew chief of the winning driver is awarded one of Mayhew’s Dominator® heavy-duty curved pry bars, dubbed ‘The Big Stick’. Bestowing the 13 lb. Big Stick to each winning crew chief enables the premium hand tool manufacturer to quite literally get their tools into the hands of those actually using them on a regular basis.
