First up was Doug Coby in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s NAPA Auto Parts 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway on Saturday night, where Doug landed a second place spot. Doug, driver and owner, shared “Lots of notes from today to build for the future. First time in a long time that EVERYONE from the chassis builder to the motor builder, the crew chief, crew guys, and driver all had to work our asses off to make it work. And the crew had a KILLER pit stop to gain at least 10 spots on the last stop! Glad we got a good finish for Mayhew Tools and everyone who helps the team.” For some behind the scenes footage of getting the car ready for the race that day, find and follow us on Instagram @MayhewTools
A special shout out to Goodie Motorsports’, Eric Goodale #58 for winning the Mayhew Tools Pole Award at that race. Eric earned the P1 position and his crew chief Jason Shephard picked up a Dominator® Pro 3PC Pry Bar Set for his efforts.
And onto the Nationals in Florida for the Mayhew sponsored SGB Racing team, who had a record breaking day with all of their 450 (highest level class) racers scoring points as they all finished in top 20 of the 40 person race. More remarkable was Jordan Jarvis who made history as the first woman to ever qualify to race a National. She was able to come in as an alternate rider for the second moto of the day.
