In this new role, Smith will be responsible for managing the premium hand tool manufacturer’s sales teams throughout Western United States

Turners Falls, MA June 19, 2018 – Mayhew Steel Products, Inc. (Mayhew Tools) announces Wayne Smith as new Western Regional Sales Manager. Smith, whom has over 15 years’ account management and business development expertise and a proven track record of success, will be accountable for increasing Mayhew Tools’ sales in the Western Region of the United States – leading a sales team comprised of independent territory representatives. This newly established position will be key to Mayhew Tools’ extending their reach and capitalizing on more sales opportunities west of the Mississippi River.

In addition to driving sales and market share, Smith will be focused on maintaining relationships with distributors and manufacturers’ rep agencies throughout his territory. He will also work closely with his sales team to identify and capitalize on new sales targets and opportunities, more specifically increasing sales of new products with existing and new customers.  Reporting to Mayhew Tools’ Vice President Sales and Marketing, Smith will also manage all programs and promotions in his territory and contribute towards the company’s planning and forecasting efforts moving forward.

Before joining Mayhew Tools, Smith served as Tractel Inc.’s West Coast Sales Manager where he helped the company expand into new industrial markets. Prior to that he served as Sales Manager for Denver-based, automotive accessory manufacturer, GT Covers where he helped develop and manage new territories within Western United States. Smith holds both an MBA and BA in Organizational Behavior from University of Redlands. His current professional associations include: STAFDA, NSC, and ISA.

The win marks the fifth championship title, and the fourth consecutive win, of the Whelen Modified Tour for the Milford, Connecticut driver. Mayhew Tools signed on with Mike Smergilio’s MSIII Racing and driver Coby after their 2016 championship of the tour in a move to elevate the company’s profile as a racing sponsor.

Turners Falls, MA October 16, 2017 – Mayhew Steel Products, Inc. (Mayhew Tools) announces the launch of a new Pneumatic Body and Panel Tool Set. The set, made completely in the USA, includes five distinct pneumatic tools, each fulfilling a unique application for cutting, trimming, slitting, or ripping body panels, fenders, and any other light gauge sheet metal. All five tools are packaged in a self-contained, re-usable storage tray that fits most tool boxes.

All of the set’s tools feature a standard .401 Turn-Type Parker Shank for air or zip guns. Each tool is made of shock-resistant steel that is fully hardened and tempered for a long life and durability, and have a black oxide finish to prevent corrosion. Backed by a lifetime warranty, the set saves technicians time by providing them with the tools they need when it comes to specific automotive applications.

The five tools comprising the new Pneumatic Body and Panel Set, part number 32027 include::

The 160-year old manufacturing company continues to possess a steady growth trajectory, whereby strengthening the sales and marketing department has become a necessity. Law will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day operations of the marketing department while also assisting with sales, product development, and customer service.

She holds a B.S. in Communications Media from Fitchburg State University.

In this role, Mills will be responsible for growing Mayhew’s sales and sustaining a high-level of customer satisfaction. Mills previously served Mayhew Tools as Vice President of Sales & Marketing from 1994 through 2002, before rejoining the company this year.

As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mills will focus on identifying new sales targets while simultaneously developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to elevate the company’s brand visibility. In addition to managing the sales and marketing teams, he will also provide the leadership necessary to promote a positive team atmosphere and culture.
